If I had one wish, it would be that you remember my mother's laugh. It filled every room she ever walked into, and made strangers turn around and smile.
She is gone now. There is no recording of it that does it justice. But there are thousands of people in this city who heard it, and some of them wrote about her, and maybe some of those words reached you.
